Have you ever wondered why Jesus came as a man? The simple answer is: He had to. For God to come in His eternal glory and splendor, and defeat death with supernatural power, would be to break the rules. And even God plays by the rules. So Jesus emptied Himself. Though He had existed for all eternity as God, not wanting to use equality with God to His advantage, He came in the likeness of men (Philippians 2:6-8). And standing in victory on the other side of an empty tomb, Jesus declared, “All authority has been given to Me.” Praise Jesus forever 🙌
I truly believe God is giving a grace to the church right now to return to the Table of the Lord. Communion is a covenantal sacrament between Jesus and His Bride. It’s a meal unlike any other. Communion joins us to Him, His cross, and His people. It is the place of deep exchange: our brokenness for His wholeness, our weakness for His life, our sin for His forgiveness, our sickness for His healing. Come to the Table often! Whoever eats and drinks of THIS bread and THIS cup receives life abundant 🙌

There WILL be seasons when God asks us to trust Him and wait. In those times of waiting, it’s tempting to think nothing is happening. But underneath the surface, He’s doing a deep work in us; tilling the soil of unbelief, plowing the fallow ground of our hearts, pruning the weeds of fear and doubt. If we can trust Him, not just with the promise, but also with the timing, then He can trust us with the fulfillment of that promise. ——— 📕 This is an excerpt from my new book, LIMINAL: The Delicate Space Between Breaths This book answers the question, “What do we do when we don’t know what to do next?” The space between seasons is sacred. When we’re no longer where we were, but not YET where God is taking us, we find ourselves in one of life’s most formational spaces…the LIMINAL SPACE. Available on my website, NeilBroere.com, as well as worldwide on Amazon ✌️
The only way we lose is if we quit. Often, the delay we experience isn’t an indication that we messed up or missed God, it’s just God holding us in the in-between so the character required to hold the responsibility of the next season can be formed in us. If you’ve been digging and it seems like you’re getting nowhere, ask the Lord if what you’re experiencing is His goodness in the form of intentional delay. The breakthrough could be just a few feet away. ——— 📕 This is an excerpt from my latest book, “LIMINAL: The Delicate Space Between Breaths.” It’s all about waiting on God in the in-between, when you’re no longer where you were but not YET where God is taking you.
